Just a few days ago, tennis pair Rohan Bopanna and Matwe Middelkoop continued their hot streak at Roland Garros. Not only did they defeat Olympic champions to enter the quarters, but they went face-to-face against Lloyd Glasspool and Harri Heliövaara to secure their place in the semi-finals. The talented duo won the match 4-6, 6-4, and 7-6 (10-3) to enter the first-ever semi-finals at the Men’s Doubles event at Roland Garros. 42-year old Bopanna has proved to be impressive this tournament despite being the oldest player in the ATP Top 70 and shows no indication of slowing down anytime soon. This tournament is his first Grand Slam SF since Wimbledon in 2015.

As of the 2nd of June, Indo-Dutch pair, Bopanna-Middelkoop suffered a defeat against Marcelo Arevalo and Jean-Julien during the Roland Garros Men’s Doubles Semi-Final. The match was a close one with Bopanna-Middelkoop winning the first set (6-4) but Arevalo and Jen-Julien won the second (3-6) before the match moved into a ‘super tiebreaker’ and the latter pair ultimately won 6-7 (8-10). Despite the loss, the Indo-Dutch duo has been nothing short of impressive the entire tournament.
