2 | Friday

In honour of Pride Month this June, Avani+ Riverside Bangkok Hotel’s famed LGBTQIA+-friendly bar, Lost & Found at Riverside Plaza, is hosting a sensational line-up of celebrations, starting today and continuing throughout the month. Head down today for a concert courtesy of Thai showbiz singer Aof Pongsak; on the 9th for a drag battle; on the 10th and 16th for their ‘Signature Show’; on the 17th for a ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’ party; on the 23rd for a Pride Queen show; on the 24th for a Drag Queen show featuring Vis; and finally, on the 30th for a YMCA-themed Pride Celebration to wrap up the month of fabulousness.

After the success of last year’s groundbreaking and first-ever official Pride March in Thailand, this year’s Bangkok Pride 2023 march will be held today, between the Pathumwan Intersection and Ratchaprasong Intersection. Make sure to don your most colourful outfits and come ready to celebrate love and identity in all forms, whether you’re part of the LGBTQIA+ community or you’re coming as an ally. There will be a pre-parade event at the BACC, and an after-party at Lido Hall, as well as what is sure to be some spectacular live entertainment. 

Time: 2pm to 8pm; pre-parade event starts at 12pm; after-party starts at 9pm

9 | Friday 

Bangkok Island is once again holding Pride Cruise Bangkok, this time for two days. Today and tomorrow, head down to the renowned party boat for a 4-hour cruise featuring some of the city’s best DJs, drag shows from your favourite Drag Queens, aerial shows, and a karaoke room where you can sing along to your favourite bangers. The theme is ‘feather fancy’ so grab your boas and show up in your finest!   

Price: Starting at THB 800 for the 2-day event, or THB 2,400 for a group of 4 people per day (limited 100 tickets only)

Rizza Dance Academy, one of Bangkok’s leading professional dance schools that teaches a range of dance styles spanning Bollywood, Indian Classical, Modern, Folk, Hip-hop, and more, is hosting their Grand Annual Stage Showcase today. Their celebrity guest this year is Indian choreographer and television personality Geeta Kapur, currently a judge on India’s Best Dancer (2020- ). Today, TOP25 Restaurants will announce the winners of their 2023 TOP25 Restaurants Bangkok Awards at the luxe Sukhothai Hotel Bangkok, their first in-person event since 2021. Aiming to highlight some of the city’s best restaurants, the awards will use the Travelindex-owned and patented ‘Restaurant Rating Index’, a multi-tier rating system that combines social media and review sites with on-the-ground expertise and Artificial Intelligence behavioural algorithms.
