Mirage Exhibition

Mirage by Asoke Aryapratheep, on view at Supples Gallery in Bangkok from 13 December 2025 to 18 January 2026, expands the artist’s exploration of perception, illusion, and the subconscious.

Through layered paint, ink, and textured marks, Asoke creates dreamlike worlds where colour, architecture, and memory blur. Shifting to larger canvases, his work invites viewers to question what is seen, imagined, or remembered, continuing his evolving abstract practice.

Hindu Samaj Centenary Book

The Hindu Samaj celebrated its centennial anniversary in October 2025 with great pomp and circumstance.

To commemorate the occasion, Masala, with the support of the Hindu Samaj president and committees, researched, compiled, wrote, and produced a centenary book. The publication looks back on a century of service dedicated to the Indian community in Thailand, tracing the organisation’s origins and honouring the leaders who paved the way for its enduring legacy.

Thai-Sikh Run

The Thai-Sikh Run returns on 1 February 2026 for its 30th edition. Running options range from the half marathon (21.1 km) and fun run (4 km) to a kids run (500 metres).

Organised by the Siri Guru Singh Sabha, this milestone edition introduces a special Fast Runner Appreciation Trophy for 30 runners who narrowly miss podium finishes. Race winners will also receive Royal Trophy Awards graciously bestowed by Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, The Princess Royal of Thailand.

Vir Das Returns

Resident funny man Vir Das returns to Bangkok in 2026 following the success of his stand-up specials.

His latest tour, Hey Stranger, arrives in Bangkok on 17 March at KBank SiamPic Hall. In the meantime, audiences can watch or rewatch his many specials available on Netflix.

Guinness World Records at Koh Larn

Thanks to a coordinated effort led by Indian real estate investor Gokul Kripa and Gokul Kripa Sales and Marketing Pvt. Ltd., over 2,500 Indian dealers and employees attempted to break three Guinness World Records at Samae San Beach on Koh Larn.

One of the record attempts involved creating the largest Indian national flag on Thai soil. The event highlighted the strong and enduring ties between India and Thailand, celebrating collaboration, unity, and shared pride.
