Bangkok’s social circuit continues to expand with a fresh line-up of cafés, diners, bars, and cultural spaces opening across the city. From sourdough brunches and whisky-fuelled evenings to lakeside community hangouts, these new spots bring plenty of reasons to explore a different neighbourhood.
One of Sukhumvit’s well-loved café names, LARDER, has expanded with a new outpost in Chatuchak, bringing its signature mix of strong coffee, frothy tea lattes, sourdough, and well-executed brunch a little closer to the weekend crowd.
Now located at Upper Ground Project within Best Western, the new space carries the same easy energy, just in a different neighbourhood.
It is an easy stop for late mornings, where a hot matcha latte pairs naturally with pastries still warm from the oven.
The Tuna 3000 offers something more filling, built on sourdough with tuna tataki, organic egg, and tartar served with house-made crisps for good measure.

Butler Bangkok leans into the kind of food that always hits the spot: comfort.
Set in Market Place Thonglor, the diner serves up a proper hearty fare with honest flavours and plates that feel utterly satisfying.
The menu runs from sourdough bagels to grilled dishes and pastas, with espresso in the morning and old fashioneds when things drift later.
It is pet-friendly, which adds to the easy, come-as-you-are feel.
The Koji-buta ribs with curly fries are worth the mess, the Spicy lumache alla vodka leans indulgent, and the Skillet pork schnitzel arrives exactly as it should.
Napkins are not optional, and neither is ordering seconds.

On the second floor above Aim Khaogang in Sukhumvit 49, Shaloba Barroom keeps its loyalties clear.
Pick your poison; here, it is whisky.
This is a spot for those who prefer their evenings distilled with amber pours.
There are bites to keep things in check, a selection of cuts for the steak enthusiasts, Thai-style larb beef for those who prefer something sharp and savoury, or a Mixed berry sorbet to cool things down, but they are very much in support of the main event.
It is all rather clear-cut: searing, slicing, and sipping, with your glass doing most of the talking, and a small promise of tomfoolery somewhere along the way.

Set along the water in Muang Thong Thani, The Lake Club positions itself as a community-led cultural space.
The space brings together a curated mix of tenants, from BEANS coffee roasters and Culinova Lab’s rice and buns to VESSEL for wine and cocktails, The Barrel for bottles to take home, and The Collective for a broader retail edit.
Alongside this, a rotating line-up of workshops, from yoga to art sessions, keeps things in motion.
It is less about a fixed experience and more about participation, a lakeside front yard shaped by conversation, movement, and whatever the day happens to bring.
