
Diwali, the Festival of Lights, is set to sparkle brighter than ever in Bangkok this year. Thailand’s capital is ready to celebrate the vibrant Thai–Indian friendship through lights, food, and culture. As part of Thailand’s tourism campaign to welcome 12 million international visitors in the last four months of 2025, Diwali takes centre stage as one of the country’s key cultural events.
Main Diwali Day is Monday, 20 October 2025 but celebrations in Bangkok start earlier and last all month. Different venues have different dates, so you can enjoy multiple events.

Vibe: A lively evening stroll with lights, crowds, street snacks on paper plates, and fun performances all along the canal.
Its good to arrive between 4:30 PM and 6:00 PM so that there's time to explore markets and art in daylight, then enjoy light installations, performances, and night-time atmosphere as the evening progresses.
Try to visit different venues on different days so you can experience a variety of events
Use public transport like MRT or BTS to avoid getting stuck in traffic

Bring an umbrella just in case in rains
