When the Bangkok sun is blazing full throttle, nothing hits the spot quite like a luscious blend of fresh fruit, whizzed to silky perfection and ready for sipping. If you’ve been scrolling through the beverage buzz online, you’ve probably caught wind of Erewhon (yes, ‘nowhere’ spelled backwards), famed for their gut-loving, nutrient-packed smoothies that set you back around USD 20 (THB 750). The brand’s cult status skyrocketed thanks to collaborations with internet darlings like Rhode founder Hailey Bieber, the short n’ sweet singer Sabrina Carpenter, and home-cook sensation Nara Smith, who probably whipped up her creation from scratch. Naturally, Erewhon-inspired smoothies, known for their vibrant hues, creamy yoghurt swirls, and premium price tags, have begun to trickle into the Land of Smiles. With Bangkok suddenly swimming in posh, health-conscious smoothie options, we did the taste-testing for you. So, save your cash and sip smart—here are Masala’s top picks that’ll leave you Ere-wanting more.
Oh! Juice (@ohjuice)
Popular for good reason, Oh! Juice was born out of Ohkajhu, the health-forward brand founded by two friends with a passion for fresh produce. Known for using organic vegetables and ripe fruit with no added sugar or artificial ingredients, it’s a go-to for clean, feel-good sips. Now with locations beyond Bangkok, it’s quickly becoming a Thai classic that’s reliable, vibrant, and easy to love. Customisation is strong, and celebrity collabs like Chompoo Araya’s Material girl blend, along with her new line-up of Matcha blends for all you pink Pilates princesses, keep the brand fresh and on the pulse. Available at major malls and on apps like Grab and Lineman, it caters to different tastes and budgets. Bonus points for thoughtful packaging with dry ice to keep things chilled. The only caveat? High demand can lead to long wait times. Order at your own discretion.
Favourite Blend: King green mile, a two-tiered marbled smoothie blending Uji matcha, organic kale, king spinach, almond milk, and raw almonds between ripples of coconut cream, chia seed jelly, and homemade almond butter.
Price: THB 85–340
Sunbird (@sunbirdjuice)
Tucked into Thong Lor 13, Sunbird is a charming little nook open daily from 8.30 AM to 6 PM and also available via Grab. The café-style storefront is perfect for a casual catch-up, with a menu that goes beyond smoothies to include light bites as well. With a wide range of blends from juice-forward refreshers to more indulgent chocolate and date combinations, there is something for every craving. For those of you keeping track of your daily macros, Sunbird comes in clutch with protein content listed. Each of their smoothies is light, fresh, and surprisingly energising, with even the richest options leaving you feeling uplifted rather than sluggish. However, prices swing on the higher end with their use of premium products. It is easily one of my personal favourites, and I have managed to convert more than a few friends. If you’re in the mood for a smoothie that hits the spot, there is no need to overthink this one; they truly deliver. They even make the rather pungent, earthy note of blue spirulina palatable.
Favourite Blend: Protein powerhouse, a creamy creation of bananas, almond milk, peanut butter, whey protein, blue spirulina, and sweetened with stevia.
Price: THB 125–265
PASH Juices (@pashjuice)
With six storefronts across Bangkok and a cloud kitchen available exclusively on Grab, PASH Juices has carved out a name for itself in the city’s juice and smoothie scene. The brand was founded by seasoned Thai chef Sunit “Lex” Chutintaranond, a culinary talent with five critically acclaimed restaurants in Ithaca, New York. His time abroad cultivated a longing for the distinctive sweetness of Thai fruits, leading him to establish PASH Juices, a fresh juice and smoothie house rooted in fresh Thai yields. I stumbled upon the offerering five years ago during the pandemic on a summer’s day out with my closest friends. After a round of samples, it quickly became a favourite for its consistency and crisp blends. While “juice” may be in its name, PASH Juices is equally celebrated for its smoothies, blended to order and served in grab-to-go cups. Keeping in line with the global trend of yoghurt swirls and superfood marbling, the brand launched an Erewhon-inspired collection of smoothies, each one named after a Greek deity, pairing flavour and benefits with a divine flair.
Favourite Blend: Apollo, a luscious mix of nam dok mai mango, pandan, coconut (meat, fibre, and flakes), milk, and yoghurt, perfectly showcasing the fresh flavours of local fruits.
Price: THB 100–240
PLANTIFUL (@plantiful.th)
Since opening in 2019, PLANTIFUL has become the plant-based café equivalent of that friend who always knows how to make healthy living look fun. The brand offers meals, juices, and, most notably, smoothies built from whole foods and untouched by additives. With cafés at Gaysorn Amarin, Sukhumvit 61, and Bangtao in Phuket, the spaces feel like urban refuges where wellness dwellers gather for something both fifilling and fresh. Their smoothies are creamy, luscious, and satisfying, the perfect pick-me-up for a busy workday or post-workout boost. And if that were not enough, they keep things lively with blends created in collaboration with names like The Standard, L’Occitane, and Maison Margiela. The latest being the Unseen smoothie with Supergoop!—a cheeky nod to the cult-favourite clear sunscreen. Health-forward, reliable, and consistently delightful, PLANTIFUL delivers smoothies that never fail to hit the spot.
Favourite blend: Peach sea moss, a chilled flurry of sea moss, peach, strawberry, banana, almond butter, oat mylk, and coconut-cashew yoghurt.
Price: THB 185–240
Baron’s Bar by The Cheese Baron (@baronsbarofficial)
Not the first vendor you might imagine yourself running to for a smoothie, yet Baron’s Bar by The Cheese Baron has quickly made its mark since opening earlier this year. Best known for their Greek yoghurt, yoghurt drinks, buttermilk, and ghee, the brand’s expertise in probiotics and their signature creamy yoghurt make their blends a true standout. Blended with fresh fruit and booster ingredients, each sip is smooth and indulgent, while still leaving you feeling refreshed thanks to that extra probiotic punch. I have been a fan of the Cheese Baron for over a year, first discovering them at a farmer’s market where I tried what remains one of the best Greek yoghurts I have ever had. In smoothie form, it somehow tastes even better. The pricing is fair, the quality is impeccable, and it feels like a genuine hidden gem in Bangkok’s smoothie scene.
Favourite Blend: Spirulina splash is always my go-to. It’s a silky blend of blue spirulina (hello, IG Story post!), tangy pineapple, chia seeds for a boost of fibrous protein, and dollops of their creamy Greek yoghurt. Simply mouthwatering.
Price: THB 69–219
