THE PROUD FAMILY: LOUDER AND PROUDER SEASON 2 (DISNEY +)

Since it first aired in 2001, The Proud Family has established itself as a highly popular and well-regarded animated sitcom from Disney. The show’s unique animation style, relatable characters and ability to address important cultural issues while promoting diversity and honesty has made it a favourite among audiences. Seventeen years after its first release, Disney released a series building on the success of the first title: The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder was released in 2022. Season 2 of the series is now set to be released, with notable voices lending themselves to the show including Kyla Pratt as Penny Proud,
Tommy Davidson as Oscar Proud, and Jo Marie Payton as Sugar Mama.

GUNTHER’S MILLIONS (NETFLIX)

Consisting of four one-hour episodes, this limited series stars Lee Dahlberg and was created by Emilie Dumay and Aurelien Leturgie, who go around the world to uncover the story of Gunther VI, a German Shepherd with a net worth of USD 400 million, who is also the richest pet in the world. Rumour has it that Gunther’s great-grandfather was owned by a secretive countess who left her substantial wealth to her cherished pet, after the death of her son and only heir. The dog was entrusted to her son’s confidante, Maurizio Mian, but the truth behind this fi shy wealth story, as the Netflix description of this investigative-documentary miniseries goes, “is worth digging a little deeper.”

YOU SEASON 4, PART 1 (NETFLIX)

Season 4 of You (2018- ), Netflix’s thriller drama series co-created by Sera Gamble and Greg Berlanti, consists of 10 episodes that will be released in two different parts, with part two releasing a month after the first. Penn Badgley will return, this time with another brand-new persona as a professor in London; along with Tati Gabrielle as Marienne; and many others who could be his potential victims, or as the trailer suggests, possible killers. Per the cast and crew, the new part will see a slight shift in the genre, from being a psychological thriller to being an outright murder mystery. Seasons 1-3 are available to watch on the platform, if you want to catch up with the series beforehand.

Actors Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi are all set to make their streaming debut with the upcoming crime thriller, Farzi (2023), directed by Raj & DK of The Family Man (2019- ) fame. Shahid plays an artist
of humble origins, who suddenly finds himself thrust into the dangerous world of counterfeiting after successfully creating a flawlessly fake currency note. What results is an exciting chase to outsmart the determined and unorthodox law enforcement officer played by Vijay. Eight episodes long, this Prime Video original also features Kay Kay Menon and Amol Palekar, amongst other interesting cast members.
