The first Halloween special to come out of the MCU, Werewolf by Night is expected to dive into the horror head-on. Based on the eponymous Marvel Comics character, the movie was directed by award-winning composer Michael Giacchino, and follows a group of monster hunters who try to discover the hidden monster in their ranks. Shining brightly through its black and white frames, the film’s cinematography alone, which replicates the look and feel of old-school horror classics like Frankenstein (1931), seems worth giving it a shot.

The second season of Mismatched (2020- ) is set to release on Netflix this month. The first season of the series, featuring influencer Prajakta Koli and actor Rohit Saraf, was an overload of cuteness, and we expect this season to follow suit. The cast and crew themselves, including director Akarsh Khurana, have expressed
excitement about the upcoming season. The show is based on the romance novel When Dimple Met Rishi by Indian-American author Sandhya Menon, and this season, the two protagonists will brave a summer camp in Jaipur – with all the drama, anxiety, love, and identity crises that come with it. If young-adult fiction set in contemporary India is your bait, then this show’s definitely for you!
