Missing You (Netflix)

On Netflix, New Year’s Day starts with someone missing and reappearing years later in yet another gripping production from the UK. The new mystery-thriller from Harlan Coben stars Rosalind Eleazar (of Slow Horses fame) as Kat Donovan, who suddenly sees her fiancé Josh (played by Ashley Walters; Top Boy) on a dating app. There’s only one problem: he’d been missing for the past 11 years. Now, she wants answers, and in her pursuit of the truth, she’s forced to dive back into the mysterious nature of her father’s death, while uncovering long-buried secrets from the past.

Severance Season 2 (Apple TV+)

The mind-bending series returns for a second season as the critically acclaimed sci-fi thriller picks the action up where it left off at the end of season one. After a long-delayed release, the new string of episodes will be answering a few of the jaw-dropping cliffhangers surrounding Mark Scout (Adam Scott) as he heads back into the Lumon building. While Mark is slightly wiser, things get even weirder on the Severed Floor as he meets his new office mates, creating new tension that will have the audience wondering if Mark is in more danger than before, or perhaps, being completely reprogrammed.

Through iconic music, movies, and a familial bond that defines their legacy, this will be a must-watch for all of the filmi fans at home.

The rough ride through the underworld returns for a second season, where down-on-his-luck police officer Hathi Ram Chaudhary (Jaideep Ahlaw) manoeuvres through a path entangled with more raw, relatable, and intense storylines. While the main plot details of the new season are still under wraps, the noir-drama-like series continues to unapologetically explore corruption, classism, deep-rooted conspiracy, and the overwhelming nature of the patriarchy.
