Mirzapur (Season 4)

Mirzapur, one of the most popular Indian web series, is likely to come out in early 2026, though the exact release date still hasn’t been confirmed. The third season wrapped up with a dramatic twist, and fans are now eagerly waiting to see what season 4 brings. Gullak (Season 5)

This time around, the directors behind the stories are Vikramaditya Motwane, Kiran Rao, Shakun Batra, and Vishal Bhardwaj. Echoing the earlier idea, the series reflects the realities of human connection marked by intimacy, freedom, and the complicated pull of love and desire.

Maamla Legal Hai Season 2

The courtroom doors open once again as Maamla Legal Hai Season 2 arrives on Netflix in 2026, following the success of its debut season. However, this time you get to see even stranger cases and plenty of chaotic, laugh-out-loud moments inside Patparganj District Court. Ravi Kishan will likely return as the eccentric lawyer leading the team.

Jazz City

Jazz City, the new upcoming Indian web series, will be released on March 19, 2026, on SonyLIV. It's a historical thriller in which the storyline centres on a mysterious jazz club that becomes a hub for secret conversations and espionage. It is set in Kolkata during the Bangladesh Liberation War. The series brings together Arifin Shuvoo and Sauraseni Maitra in leading roles, created by Soumik Sen.

Operation Safed Sagar 

Operation Safed Sagar is another brand-new upcoming 2026 series on Netflix based on the Kargil War and the role of the Indian Air Force during the conflict.

Siddharth plays Squadron Leader Ajay Ahuja in the series, with Jimmy Shergill, Dia Mirza, Adil Hussain, and Abhay Verma also part of the cast, directed by Oni Sen.

The series was shot at real air force bases using MiG and Mirage fighter jets, aiming for a large-scale and realistic look at high-altitude air combat.

Gandhi

Another highly anticipated historical drama coming in late 2026 is Gandhi. The series follows Gandhi’s early life from 1888 to 1915, including his time in London and South Africa. This series is directed by Hansal Mehta, starring Pratik Gandhi as Mahatma Gandhi.

The cast also includes Bhamini Oza and Tom Felton, with music by A. R. Rahman. This series also made history as the first Indian show to premiere in the “Primetime” program at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 17, 2025.

The Revolutionaries  

With many historical drama series on the way, viewers are also eager to watch The Revolutionaries, a show based on the book Revolutionaries: The Other Story of How India Won Its Freedom.

The series, directed by Nikkhil Advani, explores the journeys of Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad, and Subhas Chandra Bose and their role in the independence movement. It is expected to be released around 2026 on SonyLIV.

Family Business
