Finding Your Flow

The ultimate bangkok yoga guide for each energy level.

Grace Clarke

Yoga isn’t just movement; it’s a way of life, a dance, a cosmic connection between breath and being. Originating over 5,000 years ago in India, yoga has evolved into different styles, each unlocking a new dimension of wellness. Whether you’re flowing into mindful movement, sweating out toxins, or surrendering into deep stillness, Bangkok’s yoga scene is alive with possibilities. Grab your mat, set an intention, and let’s explore where you can tap into your inner zen.

Hatha yoga is all about slowing down and tuning in. With breath as your guide, this practice brings balance, flexibility, and clarity. You could even think of it as a dynamic mode of meditation and mindfulness.

Where to Try: Raj House of Yoga (Hatha Class)
Hidden atop the Sacha Apart Hotel Thonglor, Raj House of Yoga feels like a dreamy retreat in the middle of the city. The glass-walled studio, set beside a tranquil pool, bathes in natural light, giving you that instant serenity boost. With gentle yet precise guidance, the studio’s experienced instructors help you flow through each posture, bringing awareness to every movement. This is the kind of class that makes you feel completely in tune with yourself.

If you’re the type who loves intensity, hot yoga is the ultimate detox. Practicing in a heated room encourages flexibility, deepens your postures, and leaves you feeling completely cleansed in mind, body, and soul.

Where to Try: Yogania Bangkok (Hot Yoga Class)
I’ve been rolling my mat out at Yogania for years, and it never disappoints. Their class lineup is as diverse as their expert instructors, who truly know their craft. Bikini season is creeping up, so if you really want to unlock your yoga glow-up, book a private session. Targeted guidance, deep relief, and all the best vibes. They also throw in variations of poses that push you out of your comfort zone (but always safely). Whether you’re looking to sweat it out or bliss out, this spot is an absolute must.

Vinyasa is yoga in motion, a fluid high-energy sequence that builds strength, endurance, and breath control. It is like a blood-pumping balance between movement and mindfulness, totally in sync with your energy.

Where to Try: Limber Studio (Vinyasa Sculpt Class)
Okay, real talk. Limber Studio is gorgeous. As you walk into the studio, you’re greeted by sun-drenched spaces, earthy aesthetics, and a community that radiates warm vibrations. Their Vinyasa Sculpt class is an absolute sweat fest (in the best way possible), fusing strength training with fast-paced flows. It’s a full-body workout that pushes your limits, tones muscles, and leaves you dripping in accomplishment. If you love a challenge, this class is a must.

Precision, patience, and props welcome to Iyengar yoga. This practice is all about alignment making it perfect for injury recovery deep stretching and building postural awareness.

Where to Try: Stretch Studio (Gentle Stretch & Restore Class)
If you are craving a slower pace with maximum benefits this class is the ultimate recharge.  Iyengar or restorative yoga is a practice in surrender, ideal for melting away stress and restoring balance to your body. Ease into postures while letting gravity do the work. I definitely recommend a weekly session of stretching and restorative classes if you often suffer from office syndrome (don’t we all!), or engage in a lot of heavy duty exercise.

I like to think of yin yoga as the yin to life’s yang. Taoism describes yin and yang as the two relative qualities present in everything. Yin is commonly associated with femininity, the moon, passive energy, and the earth. In yoga terminology, yin yoga is known for its meditative qualities where you hold poses for minutes at a time, sinking into stillness and serenity. This style targets deep connective tissues, unlocking flexibility and mindfulness. If you suffer from chronic stress, anxiety, or have trouble falling asleep, this method of movement may just be your fix.

Where to Try: The Green Room (Yin Yoga Class)
The Green Room is a true sanctuary, a calming escape where time seems to slow down. Their Yin Yoga class is all about letting go in all forms: physically, mentally, and emotionally. With each pose, you’ll feel tension melt away, making space for calm and clarity. If you’re looking to tap into that deep, soulful relaxation, this is where you’ll find it.
