As the city witnesses a growing inclination toward veganism and cruelty-free diets, it’s unsurprising that vegan brunches are becoming increasingly popular among residents and tourists alike. In keeping with the trend, Four Points by Sheraton Bangkok has introduced a brand-new, full-sized Vegan/Vegetarian Buffet Brunch, available on the second and fourth Saturday of each month.

I gave in to the hype and decided to check it out for myself. What really caught my eye—beyond the expansive spread—was the hospitality and warmth of the staff. There’s something special about dining at a place where the chefs and team know how to make you feel welcome and even guide you toward good choices. As is often the case with any good food story, I suspected there was an interesting backstory. I was right.

“Drawing inspiration from the renowned vegetarian buffet at Hiltl Restaurant in Zurich, Switzerland—the world’s oldest vegetarian restaurant as recognized by the Guinness Book of Records,” shares Daniel Zygmunt, General Manager, Four Points by Sheraton Bangkok.

The brunch offers a decadent spread featuring over 100 dishes, four live stations, and a salad bar boasting more than 50 fresh items. Led by Executive Chef Panuwat Kosol-Insee, the menu was developed in collaboration with Chef Nattha Podok, a highly regarded plant-based chef in Thailand.

Wolffia Pesto Garden Flatbread

We sampled a healthy mix of crowd-pleasers from the menu, and I was in the mood for surprises. Among the highlights was the local vegan cheese board paired with sourdough biscuits. The pairing is satisfying yet light, leaving you feeling full but not stuffed. Impressive? Very.

Spring Lentil Salad

Next up: The Spring Lentil Salad paired with a side of hummus and tabbouleh. Then came dessert—because why wait? The temptation was real, with melted chocolate and fresh strawberries impossible to resist. Among the recommended sweet treats were chewy lentil brownies and cashew cheesecake—both standouts, neither overwhelmingly sweet.

Lion's Mane Cruelty Free Chicken

Moving on, I decided to surprise my taste buds and return to a comforting trajectory: Savoury. I had my eyes on the Lion’s Mane CFC (Cruelty-Free Chicken) from the start, a vegan take on fried chicken made from tender Lion’s Mane mushrooms. It did not disappoint. With a texture and taste remarkably similar to meat, it’s the real deal. The crisp exterior and meat-like consistency make it an excellent choice for anyone curious about plant-based options without sacrificing flavour.

The Vegan/Vegetarian Brunch at The Eatery is priced at THB 1,299++. The Eatery Restaurant is located on the 1st floor of Four Points by Sheraton Bangkok, Sukhumvit 15.
