Good news for vegetarians in Bangkok. Burger King Thailand has just added a new vegetarian indulgence to its menu called the Paneer Royale Burger.
Until now, most vegetarian options at Burger King have centred around generic plant-based or vegetable patties, so this new flavour gives vegetarians some more exciting options.
This burger does sound quite tempting as it has been described as having a crispy outer layer with soft, creamy paneer inside, combined with bold spices and rich flavours. It could be similar to paneer tikki, but I have yet to find out. However, it is indeed another great alternative for a meat-free treat.
Prices start from 169 Baht for the Paneer Royale Burger, while value sets are available from 259 Baht. For bigger appetites, the Double Paneer Royale Burger starts at 229 Baht, with set options priced at 319 Baht.
Based on Grab and LINE MAN listings, the Paneer Royale Burger is currently available at selected Burger King branches rather than all locations.
Looks like Burger King is keeping up with changing tastes and the rising demand for vegetarian food, especially from Indian and expat communities.
