Daler Mehndi, a Punjabi pop singer, took to Instagram to announce his new venture, Balle Balle Land, on PartyNite, India’s very own Metaverse platform created by a Hyderabad-based game studio, Gamitronics. The singer is best known for his hits that are sure to get every uncle dancing, including ‘Tunuk Tunak Tun’ and ‘Na Na Na Na Na Re’.

On 19th March, Daler welcomed the public to Balle Balle Land with a Holi celebration in a virtual paintball arena, marking India’s first land acquisition in the Metaverse. Guests were welcomed by a huge golden statue of Daler Mehndi himself and had the opportunity to become residents by purchasing an NFT passport. The land will host a dedicated Daler Mehndi NFT store, and future events and music concerts will be held there too.

After his first successful Metaverse performance for India’s 73rd Republic Day, Daler was encouraged to seek out a permanent residence on PartyNite, which led to his acquisition of Balle Balle Land. He hopes the land will promote Punjabi, Sufi, and Bollywood music on a global level, while also providing a platform to foster new talent.
