Alia and Ranbir’s ‘wedding card’ goes viral
Recently, a ‘leaked’ invitation announcing details about Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s nuptials sent fans into an online frenzy. In the photo, the card states that the happy couple were planning on tying the knot at Umaid Bhawan Palace in January. However, upon closer inspection, it’s clear that the image is definitely a fake. Firstly, Alia’s name is spelt ‘Aliya’ secondly, her father’s name is written as Mukesh Bhatt, when she’s the daughter of Mahesh Bhatt; and finally, the card says the marriage is happening on the ‘22th’…which obviously isn’t right. Doesn’t take a genius to figure this one out!
Rajkummar recalls his initial hardships
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Rajkummar Rao opened up about his struggles before his Bollywood debut in Love, Sex Aur Dhokha (2010), describing how he often couldn’t meet basic needs like eating or buying clothes. The star said, “When I came to the city, we were living in a really small house. I needed around Rs 15000 a month to survive [but] there were times I would [be notified] that I had only Rs 18 left in my account. It used to be tough…there [were times] in school when I didn’t have money [so] my teachers paid my school fees.” Dedication sure goes a long way.
Have Kangana and Sonam buried the hatchet?
Kangana Ranaut and Sonam Kapoor Ahuja were recently photographed together for the first time after last year’s bitter row, which exploded when Sonam commented on Kangana’s #MeToostory, saying “Kangana is obviously Kangana Ranaut. She says a lot of stuff and sometimes it’s hard to take her seriously.” In response, Kangana said, “What makes her unsure? I have represented my country in many international summits. I am [a] thought and youth influencer. I am not known because of my dad, I have earned my place and credibility after struggling for a decade. [Sonam] isn’t [a] great actress, [or a] good speaker. What gives these filmy people right to take digs at me? I will demolish each one of them.” Nice to see the girls are getting along…for now.
Salman hints at quitting Bigg Boss
Another month, another (unsurprising) Salman Khan temper tantrum. This time the star got worked up in a promo video for Bigg Boss, which shows an infuriated Salman yelling “this is serious, get someone else to do this.” The blow up has caused some fans to speculate that the actor will soon depart from the show, whereas others think it’s an elaborate ploy to improve dwindling ratings. Regardless, Salman has always been vocal about his love-hate relationship with the programme, saying “Every year I feel like dropping out. It’s been a damn good journey except for one or two contestants who spoil everything. It’s like you prepare kheer and someone sprinkles salt into it.” Yuck.
Hrithik reveals his list of marriage proposals
On The Kapil Sharma Show, Hrithik Roshan revealed that after playing a dual role for his Bollywood debut in Kaho Naa…Pyaar Hai (2000) he ended up receiving more than 30,000 marriage proposals. The film, which was directed by Rakesh Roshan, ended up becoming the highest grossing film of the year and won a staggering 92 awards, landing it a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records. Considering the massive splash Hrithik made, combined with his Greek God good looks, it’s not surprising that fans were lining up out the door with the hopes of landing this Bollywood heartthrob. We can’t help but wonder how many he’s received after this year’s performance in War (2019).
