We celebrate four of India’s most popular style influencers that everyone must follow.

By Ashima Sethi

We all have celebrities we turn to for style inspiration, whether it be Sonam Kapoor Ahuja’s love for couture or Anushka Sharma’s comfortable and chic choices. But the world of fashion goes beyond just onscreen starlets, as social media is now dominated by fashion savvy women who have built online empires around their distinct eye for trends.

1. MITALI SAGAR AND SUMMIYYA PATNI: @HOUSEOFMISU

The stylish duo behind House of Misu are known for creating funky ensembles that combine designer pieces with affordable boutique selections, notably evident at the Memorable Matches Trunk Show in 2017. At the event, Mitali Sagar donned a coral coloured pantsuit by Balmain over a tribal-inspired blouse by Surily Goel. She completed her outfit with a chunky neckpiece from Kaj Fine Jewellery and a YSL crocodile embossed bag. Meanwhile, Summiya Patni kept it fresh and flirty by pairing a layered lehenga skirt from Surily Goel with a simple Cushnie top. The extravagant faux fur coat from Dries Van Noten, salmon coloured Chloé purse and statement YSL heels elevated her ensemble.

2. MASOOM MINAWALA: @MISSSTYLEFIESTA

Masoom Minawala’s online blog has grown to become one of India’s most popular lifestyle portals, offering style advice, a gallery of daily looks, travel tips and much more. As a result of her influence, Masoom can be found attending some of the industry’s most exclusive events, including last year’s Paris Fashion Week, where she was spotted wearing an eye-catching black embroidered blazer and belted skirt from Zara. The art-deco inspired Cult Gaia bag and ASOS oval metal sunglasses transform this classic silhouette into a playful one.

3. DIIPA BÜLLER-KHOSLA: @DIIPAKHOSLA

Diipa Büller-Khosla is one of India’s most famous influencers. Her relaxed and fun sense of style coupled with her string of collaborations with popular high-end brands have resulted in a huge fan base that includes over 900,000 followers on Instagram. Despite her recent wedding looks that made waves across social media, her top style moment took place at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival, where she was elegance personified in a black feathered off -shoulder gown by Lebanese couturier Saiid Kobeisy, paired with chandelier diamond earrings from APM Monaco Jewels.

4. MARGI SAKARIYA SUTARIYA: @MARGISAKARIYA

As a result of her upbringing as a third culture kid, Margi Sakariya Sutariya’s style can be described as ethnic but with a contemporary edge. Her popular lifestyle blog, La Rose Diaries, chronicles her various sartorial selections while also offering first-hand fashion tips and tricks. This year will also see the launch of her eponymous clothing line which features stylish yet comfortable ensembles like this yellow patterned lehenga with pockets. The Indian-inspired nose ring, courtesy of Azotiique by Varun Raheja, adds extra glamour to the look.
